HOW TO TRAVEL TO EUROPE ON A BUDGET!

  • Plan ahead and be flexible. If you want to get the biggest discounts consider travelling in the less peak season (more often around April through early June, September and October, which also depends on the location) taking advantage of fewer crowds and better deals!

  • Use airline rewards program to purchase your tickets. Check Trips with Tykes to get more tips about airline rewards, how to leverage!
  • Pay attention to airline sales and/or fly discount carriers. On our recent Euro trip, we are glad to used Wow Air! Huge savings, but bare in mind that they will have a different luggage restrictions, make sure to check their site.
  • Consider going to bargain destination. Try checking the off the beaten path. Maybe south of France, a little bit away from Paris. Plus they have more luscious sites. Check Rick Steve’s guide to other parts of Europe.
  • Key is plan, plan and plan. And expect the unexpected. With transportation especially trains, Europe is known for their strikes, so in our case we bought a pass through París Pass that includes transportation but for others, I made sure to purchased them separately, just in case.

Please leave us a commentary or suggestions, we love to hear from you
